 More than 12.4 million viewers turned in to see MTV's broadcast of the Video Music Awards .
Kate perry and Beyonce make a headlines ranked as the cable network biggest audience in history; with the VMAs delivering 10.8 ratin and 8.5 million viewers in the networks targets 12-34 demographic , a best in the matric.
 Year-over-year ,the 2011 VMAs were up 9 percent in total viewers and 8 percent in the 12-34 demo.
In addition ,VMAs ranked as 2011's No. 1 cable telecast among the 12-34 demo and the top of nonsports cable telecast of the year in total viewers.

Robin Quivers victim of hit-and -run crash

Police ticketed Robert Crockett for hitting Quivers car while driving in New Jersey on Sunday.
Authorities were later after receiving information from severel  people who witnessed the crash.
Quivers later told Stern's radio audience that she's lucky to have escaped the accident uninjured ,but she insted that Crockett almost killed her.

Kat von D decided to end "LA Ink" reality series

Kat Von D is challenging TLC's that the network decided to end her La Ink series.
The La Ink star insisting it was her choice to end La Ink series not to TLC's.
TLC's had announced it had "decided" to end La Ink which it's fourth -season final, which will air September 15, earlier on Thursday.
LA Ink's remaining fourth-season episodes began airing on TLC on July 28 -- only days after Von D and fiance Jesse James announced they had ended their high-profile engagement and split.

However, given the episodes were filmed earlier, they have continued to show Von D and James -- who unexpectedly announced their re-engagement yesterday -- prior to their break-up.

In her follow-up statement, Von D accused TLC of re-editing LA Ink's fourth-season episodes to show "events that didn't happen while filming."

"In an effort to capitalize on my recent breakup, the network has decided to focus their energy on re-editing events that didn't happen while filming," the tattoo artist told People.

"I have no regrets and am very proud of the original footage. In my opinion, any attempt to compromise the honesty of that would be an insult to my fans and viewers."
Von D admitted that while she is thankful for what the show has done for her.She said that she is ready to end this chapter and want to focus on other project now.

At least 4 killed at Indiana State Fair

 At least four people were killed and 40 injured when a stage collapsed Saturday night during a storm at the Indiana State Fair, where the country group Sugarland was set to perform.
The incident at the Indianapolis fairgrounds occurred shortly before 9 p.m. when strong winds caused the rigging that holds lights and other equipment to topple onto fans, many of them in the VIP section closest to the stage. The injured included at least one child.

No one was performing at the time. Opening act Sara Bareilles had finished, and the crowd was waiting for Sugarland to take the stage.

Hundreds of concert-goers rushed to tend to the injured, lifting the steel scaffolding off them and providing medical care. Emergency crews set up a triage center in a tunnel below the grandstand.

Witnesses reported seeing many people with head and neck injuries and broken bones.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Rich Myers confirmed the deaths and number of injured and said the injuries ranged from "slight to very critical." He did not offer any additional details.

Wishard Memorial Hospital spokesman Todd Harper said the hospital had 16 patients, none of whom had life-threatening injuries. Harper told WTHR the hospital's youngest patient was 7 years old.

Concert-goers said an announcer had alerted them that severe weather was possible and gave instructions on what to do if an evacuation was necessary. But the same announcer said concert organizers hoped the show would go on, and many fans stayed put.

The wind that toppled the rigging came just minutes after the announcement, fans said.

"It was like it was in slow motion," concert-goer Amy Weathers told the Indianapolis Star. "You couldn't believe it was actually happening."

Associated Press photographer Darron Cummings was in the audience attending the concert as a fan shortly before the collapse. He said he and his friends sought shelter in a nearby barn after seeing the weather radar.

"Then we heard screams. We heard people just come running," Cummings told the AP.

Witnesses told WTHR that some of the injured were in a VIP section in front of the stage known as the "Sugar Pit." The witnesses said a wall of dirt, dust, rain and wind came up the main thoroughfare of the fairgrounds just before the collapse.

"Panic kicked in when they seen the dust bowl coming in from the Midway," concert-goer Darryl Cox told the television station.

Another person at the concert, Emily Davis, told the station that there was lightning and the sky had gotten dark but it wasn't raining when the wind suddenly toppled the rigging.

"It was horrible, people were running and going crazy," she said.

Jessica Alsman told the AP the towering, metal stage scaffolding "kind of wobbled at first." Then pandemonium set in as it fell.

"As soon as we saw the wind gust, the wind was in our faces," Alsman said. She said and three friends grabbed each other and formed a chain.

"You can't imagine — we just thought it was going to rain or something," Alsman said.

Sugarland tweeted about the incident about an hour after it happened.

"We are all right. We are praying for our fans, and the people of Indianapolis. We hope you'll join us. They need your strength," the band said.

“The five were killed instantly while three others including Tarek Masud’s wife Catharine Masud were sent to at Dhaka Medical College Hospital with critical wounds,” additional police superintendent of Manikganj Zakir Hossain Majumdar told BSS as he was reached here by phone. He said the accident occurred as a microbus carrying nine people including Masud, Mishuk Munier, who is also a former teacher of mass communication and journalism at Dhaka University and cinematographer, collided head on with a bus from opposite direction. “The accident took place at a point where the highway took a critical turn . . . apparently the bus was on high-speed despite heavy downpour as it hit the microbus that was coming to Dhaka,” Majumdar said. Police said Cathrine Masud, also a filmmaker, and the two other injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for better medical care as referred by doctors at Manikganj Sadar Hospital where they were initially rushed to. The three other victims who died on the spot were driver of the microbus identified as Mustafiz and Nurul Islam, whose identify could not be known immediately. Manish Rafique, an associate of Masud who survived the crash receiving minor injuries, later told newsmen at Manikganj police station their team was returning from Manikganj visiting a shooting spot for their proposed feature film “Matir Phool” at Shaojana area at Shibalaya upazila. “We were nine in the team who were in the microbus . . . I miraculously escaped the death while they died,” Rafique said.

 Last April,about 750 million people  watched Prince William and Kate Middleton wedding ceremony - which is the biggest story of the day quickly became  the bride's immaculate white dress.The Alexander Mcqueen  gown accentuated Middleton's small waist ,which many speculated had been slimmed down for big day.
  However, when a royal wedding photo of the bride appeared on the May 9th collectors' issue of Grazia magazine, it looked as if Kate's waist wasn't only slim, it had nearly disappeared.
The cover quickly drew public outrage and a complaint about the inaccuracy of the photo was registered with Britain’s Press Complaints Commission. After an investigation the commission ruled that the magazine had in fact doctored the image. Grazia has confirmed the allegations.

A spokesperson at the magazine explained that the re-touching SNAFU all started after the Grazia staff were unable to locate a solo shot of Middleton in her wedding dress. Magazine editors had trouble finding an image of the Duchess where she wasn’t linked arm-in-arm with William. You’ll notice her arm is reaching up in the photo on the left. So they decided to create something that wasn’t there. The Complaints Commission reported “This involved mirroring one of the duchess’s arms and an inadvertent result of the change was the slimming of her waist”.
Grazia made an apologetic statement, saying, “we did not purposely make any alterations to the Duchess of Cambridge’s image to make her appear slimmer, and we are sorry if this process gave that impression.” Though the whole scandal is actually rather silly, in a world where magazines are constantly depicting real women as thinner, lighter-skinned, and more wrinkle-free than they actually are, we can't help but appreciate Grazia's owning up to its error.

Shaun Ellis made Rex Ryan angry

 Shaun Ellis got a contract offer from the New York Jets and singed with the rival New England patriots, a decision which Jets coach Rex Ryan seems to equat with high reason of Benedict Arnold.
Ryan said of Ellis "there's no way I'm going to wish him well.There's no chance of that." 
New York offered Ellis a one-year deal for an unspecified amount. He ended up signing a larger contract with New England that could be worth as much as $5 million this year depending on incentives.

Ellis was drafted by the Jets in 2000 and has spent his entire career with the team. He had 72 sacks for Gang Green and was a two-time Pro Bowler. Even with all that, if he gets a better offer from New England, why wouldn't he jump at the deal? It's not like he owes New York a hometown discount anymore than the Jets owed him extra money for 11 years of loyal service.

MTV's "Jersey Shore" Premieres to record audience

The fourth season premiere of the hit reality television show "Jersey Shore" delivered a record 8.8 million viewers, making it MTV's third most watched series telecast of all time, the network said on Friday.

The episode, which aired Thursday night and featured the usual antics between Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino -- this time while the New Jersey clan visits the family roots in Italy -- marked a four percent increase over last season's premiere.

The show will soon begin filming season five back on familiar ground in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

Andrea Bocelli's Central Park Concert is a shell out

Andrea Bocelli is a juggernaut when it comes to drawing huge crowds -- even while classical purists make a sport of dissing him. The Italian opera / crossover star has been busy this week drumming up publicity for his free Sept. 15 concert in New York's Central Park, which will be taped for PBS. This week, Il Bocelli  appeared on the "Today" show on NBC, where he performed a selection from his album "Incanto."

Bocelli told host Matt Lauer that the concert was inspired by his father, who wanted his son to perform in the U.S. and especially in New York.

Free tickets for the Central Park concert were handed out earlier this week at venues in all five boroughs. According to the official website, tickets are now sold out at all locations and digital tickets from Ticketmaster are also sold out.

The concert will feature Bocelli performing with the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Alan Gilbert. The PBS broadcast is scheduled for some time in the late fall, with a CD and DVD release expected in November.

 Accroding to Emma Stone, there are quite a few perks to dathing  your costar.
In Teen  Vogue issue, the 22-years old starlet -who plays real-life boyfriend Andrew Garfield's love interest in 2012's The Amazing Spider-man -cridits the British-born actor with improving her acting skills.
  "Andrew is one of the most giving actors I've ever worked with," Stone raves of her 27-year-old beau. "If I needed to get to a place of love or sadness in a scene, he'd leave messages on my phone to replay, or slip in lines off camera for a different reaction than what was scripted. He gave me so much to react to."
"For her role as Gwen Stacy in the super hero flick, Stone was asked to ditch her trademark red hair and return to blonde, her natural color. "I mean, it's just hair," she says, 
So whats next for Stone , who stars in three movies this summer (Friends with benifits,Crazy,Stupid,Love and The Help) ?  
I have dreams of being a producer, being behind a camera, eating seven tacos for every meal, and making movies that affect people the way they affect me. I don't even need to be in them," Stone tells Teen Vogue. "I still really like acting, but I feel like if a day came..."

Rihanna "Deeply Depressed"

Despite being one of the world’s most successful pop stars, Rihanna has sparked concern that she may be heading for a breakdown after a recent concert appearance suggested that she’s on the verge of spiralling out of control. During her show in Atlantic City last week, the 23-year-old singer proceeded to swig alcohol and perform lewd acts on stage, and even gave obscene hand gestures to the crowd at one point. Dressed in a series of barely-there outfits, the star gyrated with a fan, guzzled drinks in plain sight and seemed incapacitated.

And now a source close to Rihanna has spoken out about her drinking problems. “She calls her friends and they in turn call or text label reps – and each other – asking what’s going on with her.”

The concerned source also admitted, “Everyone is on heightened alert. It’s the talk of the [record] label! Her security has been tightened and her publicist travels everywhere with her now. We’re all worried that Rihanna might do something crazy and end up hurting herself.”

The insider, as well as those closest to her, point her recent behaviour to the fact that she is “deeply depressed” and has turned to drinking to down her sorrows. And while the source did not suggest the reason for her depression, many hint that she’s still in pain over the Chris Brown controversy, despite reconnecting with him on Twitter.

Earlier this year, Rihanna rehashed the infamous 2009 incident in her video for “Man Down”, which features her shooting a man who abuses her. The video was heavily criticised by the Parents Television Council who slammed her for showing ‘cold, calculated execution of murder.’  But seemingly unscathed by the criticism, Rihanna responded, “I’m a 23 year old rockstar with NO KIDS! What’s up with everybody wanting me to be a parent? I’m just a girl, I can only be your/our voice! The music industry isn’t exactly Parents R Us! We have the freedom to make art, LET US! Its your job to make sure they don’t turn out like US.”

But for those closest to her, getting sober is paramount. “Her safety is our biggest concern,” said the friend. “We love her. Everyone is on edge right now.”

Winehouse Reigns Over UK Album Chart

Tragic singer Amy Winehouses' Award winning  Back to Black has jumped to the top of the UK album chart just eight days after her death.

The Rehab hitmaker, who was found dead at her London home last Saturday , took the number one spot, bumping soul sensation Adele's 21 to second place for the first time in months. In the wake of Winehouse's passing, a number of her tunes have re-entered the Top 40 singles chart - Rehab (at eight), Tears Dry On Their Own (25), Love Is A Losing Game (33) and You Know I'm No Good (37) - as fans reach out to maintain a connection with the lost star.
